Faith in Motion / The walk

One man, one country, one church.

400 kilometres on foot from Akright City in Kampala to Kiburara in the Rwenzori foothills — walked in full on Sunday 2 August 2026, every step for the church at the end of the road.

The walk

One man, one country, one church.

Our brother Shyaka — Shyaka Mbanda — crossed Uganda on foot, from Akright City in Kampala to Kiburara in the Rwenzori foothills of Kasese. It was not his first long walk for a cause. Every kilometre was meant to move people who will never see the road, but who can help finish what waits at the end of it.

DONEWALKED

The full distance is behind him.

Shyaka Mbanda completed the 400 km road to Kiburara on Sunday 2 August 2026 — with thanksgiving for journey mercies all the way. Sponsoring steps now carries the fundraising the rest of the way to UGX 414,000,000.

Carry it further

You can't walk 400 km. You can carry a hundred steps.

And you can send this to someone who would carry a hundred more. That is how a road gets finished — and how a church does.
